Filter rule still struggling

Post by Greenstone »

Still struggling with this rule.

Can someone let me know how to create a rule so that I make TB copy every email I sent from my Gmail #1 account into my Gmail account #2 sent folder?

Server is IMAP in both Gmail accounts

Thank you

Does this rule need to run each time you send mail from GMail account #1 or do you want to run this rule only once?

Peace...

Ok, I created a test filter that seems to work. So, try this:

1) Create new filter
2) "Apply filter when" -> "Manually run" *and* "After Sending"
3) "Match all of the following" -> "From contains {sending gmail account #1 email address}"
4) "Perform these actions" -> "Copy to {sent folder for gmail account #2}"

That way, if you *manually* run the filter against the Sent folder for gmail account #1, it will populate gmail account #2's sent folder with mail that has already been sent. Then, as you send NEW messages from gmail account #1, that same message will be copied to gmail account #2's sent folder.

Hope that helps!

Peace...

It works now. I was not applying the "after sending" rule. Shame on me.
Thank you!
