Synchronizing with a gmail account

Trying to synchronize a gmail account.
I receive the error :
Unable to log in at server. Probably wrong configuration, username or password.

The username and the password is correct.
The configuration is the proposed by the last version of thunderbird for windows 7 ultimate.

What can I do now ?

There is a known bug with OAuth in Gmail accounts due to some unannounced OAuth changes Gmail made on the server. It will be fixed in a new minor version. It supposedly only occurs if you changed the password or needed to create a new token for some reason. One workaround would be to switch to "normal password" as the Authentication method. That requires you to log in to your Google account with a browser and enable "less secure apps".

Yahoo did not change their OAuth2 implementation, so the problem won't occur with a Yahoo account.

This is fixed in TB 68.2.1 (Oct. 31) and 60.9.1 (Nov. 5).

The current Tb 68.2.1 was Released on October 31, 2019 yes however the older Tb 60.9.1 was Released September 6, 2019 and not Nov 5. The Tb 60.9.1 is also EOL.

EDIT: My Linux distro Ubuntu hasn't updated 60.9.0 to any 68.x.x version. Waiting to see if they provide 60.9.1 anytime soon since a users on the Ubuntu forums are having problem with Google due to this bug.
