text now looks awful!

Yesterday I checked an email and the font looked terrible, very aliased... not sure if it's due to the update and/or the Theme I was using being disabled. Tried all kinds of different fonts in OPTIONS, but it's the title pane folder pane as well as the messages. Any suggestions on how to clean these up? (Would a screenshot help?) THANKS

Ouch... this may be a Windows 10 upgrade issue. I see the same problem in my Windows Folders! dang...

Moving to MozillaZine Tech as this is apparently not a Thunderbird issue.

Turns out it WAS a Windows problem! Somehow in the recent update (I assume) the "cleartype text" option was turned off... it affected Thunderbird (which is where I first noticed, so I thought it was a Thunderbird issue). So, in case you find yourself in the same mess, turn "cleartype" on!
