Local (192.xxx.xxx.xxx) Logins - Storage Location?

Post by fuxxi »

Hi,

where does firefox store local logins?

Iam using DD-WRT on my router and changed my login credentials for the router. I cant reach the dd wrt gui now anymore, because it refuses the stored (old) login credentials - of course it does.

When I switch to a Private Windows Tab it asks for login credentials and everything works fine.

I already cleared cookies, but that didnt help.

How can I clear the local logins cache and where can I configure how its working?

Many thanks!

You can edit this login and update the password in Lockwise if it is stored there or otherwise try "Forget About This Site" for an history entry for this IP link.

Thanks for trying to help.

Im not using Lockwise, so there are no stored credentials in Lockwise.

There is also no history entry for that IP and I already cleared all history, downloads, cache, data, active logins, offline data, website preferences and cookies.

There must be something else to clear up? Using Firefox 70.0.1 on Windows 10 64 Bit.

Again: A Private Windows is working as expected, so my guess still is, that the credentials are stored anywhere, which doesnt get cleaned up by using the clear history function.

Ideas are welcome!

Nevermind, topic can be closed!

Its working now.. I disabled all addons > restart browser > router is now suddenly asking for credentials > cancelled the input > reenabled all adons > restart browser > still asking for credentials

This is weird!
