Messages at bottom of browser window.

I don't know exactly how to describe it, when I open a new browser window there are messages that flash at the bottom left of my screen, stuff like "Waiting for...", "Transferring from..." etc. For something like Google it's only a single message, too quick to read, but I have one forum site that's currently taking a long time to load that shows a multitude of messages besides waiting for the site, stuff about Facebook, cm.g.doubleclick.net and more, too numerous to remember. I'm particularly disturbed by cm.g.doubleclick.net because I believe it's spam or malware related. What I'm looking is an app or add-on that will capture and list these messages.

It's not just DoubleClick. There are a lot of messages, some too quick for me to catch. When I'm signing in to a certain forum I even see "transferring data from www.facebook.com". It's completely unacceptable that another site would look for my facebook data. As a first step I want to capture and list all there messages. How can I do it?

In the Firefox menu, expand Web Developer and then find Network. You can also use CTRL+SHIFT+E to open the network tools.

Reload the page you are interested in and you will see all the network activity that happens when loading the page. You will then see how many other sites are involved in loading the site you are actually requesting.

Also, the facebook request might be something lame like the like button or an icon on the page, but you'll be able to see more clearly what's happening from the network tools.

doubleclick.net is Google's ad network; it's most likely just connecting there to set a cookie.

You can use the Network Monitor like posted above to check what third-party domain content is retrieved.
Firefox Tracking Protection should block a lot of third-party content.
