Amazon Robot Check

Post by jl123 »

I am using Firefox 68.3.0esr and I have an Amazon bookmark saved for an item I am watching.
Every time I use the bookmark I get an Amazon Robot Check.
I do not get this if I use Chrome or Brave.
Any suggestions on why I am getting this.
It just started to happen.
Thanks

Are you using NoScript? This recently started happening to me whenever I go to amazon.com. However, when I temporarily allow amazon.com in No Script, the pop-up goes away with no user input.

I get the robot check in Chrome. I'm using these extensions.

* Don't track me Google
* uBlock Origin

I do not use NoScript.
I do use Don't Track me in FF.
I do not use uBlock but do use Ghostery.

ghostery is able to block such elements. try without. or try safe-mode

Delete all cookies for that site and try again.

Tried in safe mode. Still getting the Robot Check.
I always clear cookies and cache on exit.
Even while browsing I did clear cache & cookies and still got the Robot Check.
Strange. That it just started to happen.

If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

OK, I created a new profile.
So far I am not getting any Robot Check.
This is with all add-ons reinstalled.
Tested after each add-on as it was installed. None produced the problem.

Try "Forget About This Site" in the old profile.
