Hi Dirki,
See if this extension suits your requirements...
> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... src=search
Check the Addons page for how it works.
If not, then see if any other extension will suffice...

&...Oh yes, please reduce the image size to around 600 x 500 before posting, so as not to disrupt the forum layout.
Thank you.

Hello LIMPET235,
Many thanks for the links!
Many thanks for the links!
This one I already use and it finds folders but it cannot open the containing links with a single click, at least I could not find that option.> https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... src=search
Check the Addons page for how it works.
The other add ons I would have to install and try out, I guess. If not, then see if any other extension will suffice...

Re: How could one search for folders in the bookmarks?
Hi,
Not too sure about the one click option but if you open the Bookmarks in the side bar, (View > Side Bar > Bookmarks)
& then hit the Bookmarks drop down, the Bookmark Search Plus 2 will be available.
It opens all your bookmarks & all the folders are available.
Not like the good old "Show Parent" & "Go Parent" extensions that are no longer available.

Re: How could one search for folders in the bookmarks?
Ah, very sorry, now I sse, sorry for my wrong exrpession, I meant (with "open the bookmarks") I want to open the bookmarks in tabs (and not just see them). So when I mark a folder and right mouse click I would click on an time to open all the bookmarks in the folder with a single click like one can with Firefox generally.
Yes, and by a "single click" I meant a very few clicks, I assume, sorry again.

Yes, that's a pity, but meanwhile I am used to it, I use the search now generally (what I didn't do before that much), so I find a bookmark pretty fast. Not like the good old "Show Parent" & "Go Parent" extensions that are no longer available.

Re: How could one search for folders in the bookmarks?
Hi,
If you use the Bookmarks Toolbar, you can place any required Bookmark or folder/s in there &
open the folder's bookmarks in tabs by left clicking the folder.
Re-arrange the bookmarks toolbar via the Library.
(I think, err hope that's what you mean.)

Re: How could one search for folders in the bookmarks?
Sorry, I cannot find "View" or similar, where is it? Shortcut STRG+B or STRG+Q? In both view of them.Go to....View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar.
So STRG+Q must be meant. When I left click in the STRG+B view a boomark it is opened in a tab (so no chance to select by left click). In that STRG+B view I am not able to find folders (by searching for their names). In the STRG+Q view I can search for folders but I cannot find an open all tabs option.Left click to open each & select "Open all in tabs."
Sorry again for my bad undestanding.

Re: How could one search for folders in the bookmarks?
Sounds like you don't have the Menu Bar visible, if as you say, you do not have
File, Edit, View, History etc., etc. available.
Hit the "Alt" key & select/left click, Toolbars > Menu Bar from the options.
For ref; > https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/re ... ar-firefox

Very sorry, that one you mean, yes, that is shown here, I thought you talked about this one (from the odd on):Sounds like you don't have the Menu Bar visible, if as you say, you do not have
File, Edit, View, History etc., etc. available.
So you meant the STRG+Q view, this one:
I cannot find the open all bookmarks in tabs there, how could I find it?

Re: How could one search for folders in the bookmarks?
Hi Dirki,
You are getting things confused.
I meant the following...
"Go to....View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar.
Place any of your required Bookmarks &/or folders there..in that Bookmarks Toolbar.
Left click to open the required folder or Bookmarks & select "Open all in tabs" from the Menu.
(Geeze...I hate this medium. So hard to get the correct terminology/meaning/s across.)
The Bookmarks search 2 extension will show you all your Bookmarks & their folders.
Just click the Bs2 Drop Down to display all your Bookmarks etc., etc, in the sidebar.

Re: How could one search for folders in the bookmarks?
Hello LIMPET235,
Very sorry for this.
Sorry again, I do not have any idea what to click to see that option.
Very sorry for this.
So I click here:I meant the following...
"Go to....View > Toolbars > Bookmarks Toolbar.
The side bar on the left, right? Place? The bookmarks are already there. What does that mean? I just want to open them.Place any of your required Bookmarks &/or folders there..in that Bookmarks Toolbar.
Sorry, left click on what? A bookmark? I opens in a tab then.Left click to open each & select "Open all in tabs" from the Menu.
The medium forum? Or Internet? Yes, so true, hard anyway. Very sorry again.(Geeze...I hate this medium. So hard to get the correct meaning/s across.)
Yes yes, it does:The Bookmarks search 2 extension will show you all your Bookmarks & their folders.
Just click the Bs2 Drop Down to display all your Bookmarks etc., etc, in the sidebar.

Hello!
Is there a shortcut to open the view you have on the screenshot? Or - sorry for asking again - how could I get there? I couldn't manage it to get there with the instructions above. What am I missing?
