Colored Folders (with 'ed' on the end of Color) will be ready to be sent for TB68+ approval in a few days.

Nice. I would like to see how he fixed it. I guess he could create his own 10x7 matrix color picker.

Re: Colored Folders no longer enabled
The updated new version of Colored Folders has just now been sent in for approval and release. Lets see how long it takes the add-on team to test, approve and release it.

The developer said the new version can be downloaded from his website (before approval).

The updated Colored Folders looks nice, although I noticed it's incompatible with Phoenity Icons, but not with Phoenity Buttons. TB 68.3.1 32b/W10.

How did you download it since it hasn't been approved yet- from the developer's website?sfhowes wrote:The updated Colored Folders looks nice, although I noticed it's incompatible with Phoenity Icons, but not with Phoenity Buttons. TB 68.3.1 32b/W10.

Yeah, it worked the second time I tried adding it.sfhowes wrote:I downloaded coloredfolders@lab5.ch.xpi from https://lab5.ch/downloads/file/22-color ... rbird.html and installed it, v. 1.3.1.
It's very nice! Dennis deserves a nice donation for his work, which I will send right now.

Re: Colored Folders no longer enabled
Stay tuned! The 'Colored Folders' add-on will receive an update (1.3.5) soon bringing shinier, brighter and more intense colors for the folder images being used.
It should be noted that the developer cannot actually color the folder icons using coding (because TB code is not capable yet), so he had to use different colored folder 'images' instead (which are not true to exact color codes) to replace the original (stock) manila-colored folders. Hopefully TB will get their act together and make it easier for developers to produce quality add-ons in the very near future.

"Colored Folders" is my absolute favorite add-on. Sadly, it is not functioning with Thunderbird version 78. Will you be giving it another update to make it compatible?

@mangorunner
There is a built-in folder color feature in Thunderbird 78.
* right click a folder
* click "Properties" to open "Folder Properties" window
* click input element next to "Icon Color:"

Re: Colored Folders no longer enabled
@morat, thank you for your reply. I realize that there are built-in colors now, but as they are just colored outlines, they are almost completely ineffective. You can hardly see any difference. I miss the old solid-colored folders! I hope they will come back. They were so much better than what we got with Thunderbird 78.morat wrote:@mangorunner
