No Access certificate info - Linux

Post by Grumpus »

When using Firefox to view the Verisign certificates several give a panel message
Certificate
Something went wrong.
We were unable to find the certificate information, or the certificate is corrupted. Please try again.

Edit permissions is available and some show using View File (.crt or .pem search) but there appears to be some conflict as to which is which.
Certs with this issue are:
Verisign Class 1 public primary certification authority-G3
Verisign Class 2 public primary certification authority-G3
Verisign Class 3 Public primary certification authority-G3

My concern is if the makeup of the certs are supposed to be this way or is this something which should be deleted or untrusted

What's the deal here. any clue at all?
Someone should know if there's a real issue with the certs or some new fangled protection gizmo

Last Post on this - I've distrusted or deleted the problematic certs.
Appears to be the certs them selves and not a system issue as the same occurs on Linux Mint 18.2, 18.3, and 19.2 plus Ubuntu 18.4.03 on two different computers..
