Hello,
I just thought that it might be good to make note of this here since it might get noticed by someone who can fix the bug.
I am using SeaMonkey 2.49.5 on Windows 7 Pro SP1 32-bit on an AMD FX(tm)-4130 Quad-Core CPU.
When visiting the following web page...
http://appft.uspto.gov/netacgi/nph-Pars ... +enclosure
...and clicking on the "Images" button, located on the top center of the page at the bottom of the blue button cluster, I get a new page with a header at the top and a left side panel but no body image of the patent. This page will render correctly in Firefox 72.0.2 on the same computer.
Also, no external PDF viewer is launched by the loading of the patent page.
Thanks for taking the time to review this message
Michael

Have you tried to install pdf.js https://github.com/IsaacSchemm/pdf.js-s ... y/releases
The site works in SM 2.53.2b1 with pdf.js installed. May also work in 2.49.5

It will not help - I've got PDF files set as "always download" and it was not possible to open mentioned webpage without "PDF.JS" extension.DanRaisch wrote:See if this article is helpful in setting an external PDF viewer -- http://kb.mozillazine.org/File_types_an ... ad_actions
It's not a bug. It's mater of PDF plugin (not available in 64-bit SeaMonkey) or proper extension. Please, move this topic to "Support".

Moving to SeaMonkey Support as no specific bug has been identified as yet.

With pdf.js, looks to work just fine on my end, in 2.49.5 (& in 2.53 Beta).
(I have no other installed PDF reader. Only the ZIP version of Sumatra, no plugins & nothing set up in Helper Applications.)
With no "internal" pdf.js, there is no popup prompt to download or anything like that.
The only thing that does happen is that the (website) page opens, but is "blank".

Correct. Also, no external PDF viewer is launched by the loading of the patent page.

Fire 750, bring back 250.
