download manager init is fixed for most cases. The extensions bug is fixed by disabling the startupcache.

waiting for final 2.53.1 to be announced on the Seamonkey blog, Seamonkey project site AND posted on Mozilla's server

until then, it isn't really "final" until official announcements are made

Short delay. therube found a bad bug and so we halted it.

Hopefully final final is building just now. Mostly done. Linux and macOS finished. Windows x64 is already in the lanugage repacks (just tested the en-US build) and so everything should be done by tomorrow. Then it is just ewong whoh needs transfering it and the relnotes left.

Congrats, FRG, on the new release, I'm impressed that you've persisted for so long actively working on SM!

What is the base Firefox version that 2.53 is based on in terms of web standards support? The UA string says 60.0 but it's unlike the past versioning convention where the second number from the SM version (like 2.49.5) was the corresponding Firefox version minus 3 (2.49.x for Fx 52). Has it become minus 7 now?
