Appearance of empty popstate.dat folders in my inbox
I apologize for entering this as a new topic; popstate.dat folders and files are certainly discussed in this forum. But I haven't found this particular phenomenon discussed. A couple of weeks ago my inboxes suddenly began to add 6 or more popstate-1.dat, popstate-2.dat, popstate-3.dat, etc. every day. I delete them, but they reappear. The folders are always empty. This has never occurred before, and I've been using SeaMonkey for a number of years. Please advise.

Are you saying that these popstate-#.dat names are appearing in the list of messages or in the folder pane on the left of the main?

Hello DanRaisch --- Thanks for your message.
They are new folders appearing in the folder pane on the left. Between 5 to 10 of them show up every day. If I don't delete them, they would keep accumulating

Are you running any sort of clean up utility like Ccleaner on that system?

That sounds like a permissions issue, where the file is not allowed to rewrite itself & instead goes into an auto-increment loop.
Fire 750, bring back 250.
