Printing problem
On the beta channel currently running v75.0b2 (32-bit). When I try and print an e-mail, it will preview OK if I select that option, it will allow me to set the printer preferences, then when I press the Print button nothing goes to the printer. The status bar in the bottom left shows "Printing message . . " but I don't see the pop-up window showing the progress of the print and nothing shows at the printer.
Same thing is also happening when I select "print to PDF".
However, if I select "Edit as a New Message" then go through the print routine the text of the message prints (although nothing from the address block).
Any ideas what might need re-setting? I've already done the usual of starting in Safe Mode, starting with a new profile, resetting the print.printer config options and I've re-created the addons.json file but none of that has made any difference.
All other programs are sending to the printer without any problems and I can print a Test Page.

Re: Printing problem
The bug fix needs to be applied to a 75.0b3, or you need to wait for the 76.0b1 with the bug fix.Any ideas what might need re-setting?
Printing a message isn't working in Daily 75.0a1

Re: Printing problem
Thanks for the update. Possible to work round by printing from "Edit as new message" or by saving as HTML so not the end of the world.WaltS48 wrote:The bug fix needs to be applied to a 75.0b3, or you need to wait for the 76.0b1 with the bug fix.Any ideas what might need re-setting?

Re: Printing problem
You can work round by opening the message then going to File > Save As and selecting the "File" option. That opens a Windows Explorer type pop-up so that you can navigate to where you wish to save the file. At the bottom of that pop-up there is a drop-down to select the file type rather than the default .eml. Select HTML as the file type and you can then open the saved file in your browser and print from that. Bit long-winded and PITA but at least you can get hard copy output.tigro11 wrote:i have a big problem, i can't print with the latest update.

Latest 68.6.0, 75.0b2, or 76.0a1?
Printing is fixed in 76.0a1, working in 68.6.0, but still broken in 75.0b2.
If you really need to print use version 68.6.0.
If you need to export address books and/or used Fixed Width font use version 68.6.0.
If you need to edit a contact in 75.0b2 don't select the contact from "All Address Books".

Re: Printing problem
for now I have solved set the message as "edit as new message"
from there the printing works.
To install version 68, it tells me that it cannot load the profile. It would have to be converted, but I have no idea.

Re: Printing problem
And now on v76.0b1 and still no print from the Print Preview window.
Printing OK from the main File > Print route and can set printer preferences from there so PITA rather than show stopper.

Re: Printing problem
Still not printing from Print Preview on v77.0b2.
Edit: Have found a fudge. Reset print.show_print_progress from true (default) to false and am now printing from "Print Preview".
