FF was using a massive amount of memory, so I did a few fixes and then I just went and refreshed it.
Now it's using 700 MB with one site, Gmail, open. Is this normal?
Also the old profile was up to 1 GB on one profile and 550 MB on the other profile. This profile is only 24 MB so that's an improvement.

Firefox -= 171.6 MiB
-Web Content 15.5 MiB
-Web Content 41,2 MiB
-Web Extensions 37.1 MiB
These fluctuate but appear normal for this system

Ok what might still be wrong with my FF install after a total refresh? Nothing?
It was sitting at ~500 MB with one window open. It's better than before, 1 GB with one window open.

Is that opened with no webpage, just an empty browser that's not at any page yet?Grumpus wrote:Firefox -= 171.6 MiB

The results were, collected while active on this site with either the index page or this thread on screen.
Note the values fluctuated over the 15 or so minutes they were observed
It may also be your large amounts are due to loading part of the functions in to ram.
Checking with the current system, this thread, this site active, different from the system used to collect the other values:
Virtual : 2.9 Gigabytes (this may be an allocation)
Resident Memory 296.4 MB
Shared memory 154.7 MB
XServer Memory 14.6 MB
Linux Mint 18.2 with Firefox 77.1 the useragent string is goofy.
