When closing (Exit) TB it takes any where from 5 to 10+ seconds to close.
I do have Empty Trash enabled.
Even if I disable this same outcome.
I have also delete the .mfs same outcome.
But if I Exit by clicking on the "x" TB closes immediately.
Windows 10 Pro 2004
Note: this was also happening on W 1909
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks

What other method are you using to close the program? But if I Exit by clicking on the "x" TB closes immediately.
Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Re: TB 68.9.0 slow to close
As of now when using it in Safe Mode the lag is only about 2 seconds.
Since there was only 1 email to delete at this time when exiting.
Note: I should have mentioned that I am using IMAP. (sorry)

Re: TB 68.9.0 slow to close
When things work properly in Safe Mode but not in Standard Mode it often indicates that an installed extension is causing problems. You might try disabling all extensions and then running in standard mode for a time to see if the lag on closing is present.

Had only 1 add-on that did not come with TB.DanRaisch wrote:When things work properly in Safe Mode but not in Standard Mode it often indicates that an installed extension is causing problems. The other is the calendar. Disable that one also.
Disabled it and the problem is still there.

Are you dealing with a large volume of messages?
Do you have Thunderbird set store copies of those IMAP messages on the local drive? (Menu path Tools->Account Settings->Synchronization & Storage)

Re: TB 68.9.0 slow to close
Close down Thunderbird. Navigate to the profile folder and delete the files Trash and Trash.msf. Also delete the files Deleted and Deleted.msf if present. These files will be rebuilt when Thunderbird launches by repopulating them with data from the server. Are you dealing with a large volume of messages?

Re: TB 68.9.0 slow to close
No large volume of messages.
Maybe 5 to 10 a day.
Deleted those files
Still closing is delayed.
Not sure what is going on but like I said earlier if I click on the "x" on the top right corner TB close immediately.
Could be a bug.
