Hi!
Using Firefox 77.0.1 in Ubuntu 19.10, I am suddenly unable to login to a supermarket ordering site I have been using regularly for months.
Maybe the problem started with the update to FF 77 but I am not sure.
I can still login to that site OK using Firefox 65.0 in Ubuntu 16.04
I can still login to that site OK using Chromium (83.0.4103.106) in Ubuntu 19.10
I can still login to that site OK using Edge in Windows 10
I can still login to that site OK using Firefox 77.0.1 in Windows 10...
With all these other combinations, when I get to the login page, there is a small reCAPTCHA logo at the bottom right of the screen but I am usually not asked to fill any reCAPTCHA box.
When I am asked, then there is a reCAPTCHA box to fill in and login goes OK.
With the problem combination (Ubuntu 19.10 & FF 77.0.1) then there is no reCAPTCHA logo at any time.
I am asked to fill in a reCAPTCHA box which is NOT present & login fails at that point.
I have retried dozens of times over the last few days with no success.
Thanks for any suggestions!

Does the same thing occur if you launch the application in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode

Re: Firefox 77 asks to fill non-existant reCAPTCHA box
When things work properly in Safe Mode but not in Standard Mode it may indicate that an installed extension is causing problems. First though, see if it's hardware acceleration that's at fault. Use menu path Tools->Options->General->Performance->uncheck "Use hardware acceleration..." Close and restart the browser and try visiting the site and logging in. If it works, great. If not...
Try disabling all extensions but one and then close and restart the program. (Disable them by using menu path Tools->Addons->Extensions->click on "Disable" for every extension but one.) See if the problem is present. If not, enable an additional extension and close and restart the application. Repeat this procedure until the problem reappears. The last enabled extension will be the cause of the problem.

Re: Firefox 77 asks to fill non-existant reCAPTCHA box
OK - the culprit is LastPass.
With it disabled, I see the reCAPTCHA logo OK & login OK.
The only other Add-on I have is Gnome Shell Integration & disabling that makes no difference.
As a comment, LastPass is enabled & working in Chromium with no problem...
EDIT: I forgot to mention that unchecking hardware acceleration had no effect.

Re: Firefox 77 asks to fill non-existant reCAPTCHA box
I suggest that you reach out to the providers of LastPass to advise them of the issue.

Re: Firefox 77 asks to fill non-existant reCAPTCHA box
Yes, I will try to contact them.
Thank you very much for your rapid & accurate help!
By the way, I just tried the problem site using my Ubuntu 18.04 with FF 73.0 (not the 16.04 I mentioned above).
The results are exactly the same as with 19.10 & FF 77.0.1:
- No reCAPTCHA logo & no login when LastPass enabled
- Logo OK & login OK with LastPass disabled
In both cases, LastPass is version 4.48.0
Thanks again!

Re: Firefox 77 asks to fill non-existant reCAPTCHA box
Before I contacted LastPass, somebody somewhere fixed the problem & I can now see the reCAPTCHA logo OK & login OK.
Call that SOLVED without knowing how!

Re: (Resolved)Firefox 77 asks to fill non-existant reCAPTCHA
Could this be caused by content blocking extension or Tracking Protection in Firefox ?
