Is there a way to disable those annoying popups whenever your mouse hovers over certain areas?

In any case, disabling JavaScript generally gets it.
And in that respect, NoScript "Classic" (5.1.9) (which won't be for everyone).

Oh, & might that depend on "onMouseover" kind of thing (I know nothing of such things) & might you then be able to block it by other means? CSS or something? Or (drew a blank) that "scripting" extension ?
