Im in need of attention help, curious what kind of conflict i may have created between firefox
internal startup setting "Continue where you left of" and somethin external?

Cause It reloads my recent tabs fine to begin with upon FF startup..then 1-5 minutes later it will close
down these pages and auto-reload this session again for some reason, so it will reverse everything
including the intermediate pages i have had time to close or open during this 1-5 minutes of delay.

So it acts like the "Continue where you left of" is not legit the first time, and there is a delay until
the original continue-left of" can be manifested

Why?

Firefox Version 84.0.4147.105 (Officiell version) (64 bitar)

Please confirm the version of Firefox you are running. The current release version of Firefox is only 79.0.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

Sorry i was reading at Chrome when i claimed version 80+ =D>

Its offcourse version 79 (64 bit)

No this is the almost new profile....this errors appears in

I have implementend some major command-line tweaks that i got from internet, but they should only possible improve performance
not reload a double session, but who knows...what more it can create, so i guess i should make a new profile

I have tested in safe mode, but not for this specific cause no, the problem with me...is that i first test if the forum knows exactley
what the problem is, and i forgett that i will allways get links to general troubleshooting guide instead of a individualized abstract, and
this approach im having is eating alot of my time....to write this specific posts im doing... [-X :P i never learn!

To begin testing I suggest that you transfer NOTHING from the old profile. Only after it is confirmed that there are no lags/delays in the new profile should you begin to transfer elements of the old profile -- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_ ... _-_Firefox

Allright, even though i have never encounter any kind of applications
that have any delays at deafult...

All my 5 profiles claim there is this upstart error insdie about:support, somethin to care about? or deceptive? info.
https://www.bildtagg.se/bild/e0i0yyd21uyk1y18bj65qi

And by the way, what have prevented me from using this function...(dont know the difference from this and creating a new profile and manually move stuff)
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/re ... d-settings

...is that it still dont specify how to deal with the sessions inside the folder
it dont even lists sessions as something being saved into "old firefix data folder" for later, why?.

My sessions are also! in the application "tab session manager" and have no guarrantes they will auto-reloaded
and @start inside the new profile if i just copy the "Tab-Session-Manager@sienori.xpi" (599 kb) into the counterparting folder
after installing the app in the new profile

And also we have the folder "sessionstore-backups" that seems to be firefox internal sessions,
and i cant know who!!! are being auto-loaded on startup,
the Tab session manager last session or Firefox internal?

Im complaining in topic of a doublet session startup-launch after all

I have no idea what you mean by that. To what "delays at default" are you referring?

Im refering to your previous post here

"Only after it is confirmed that there are no lags/delays in the new profile should you begin to transfer elements of the old profile"

I mean rarely you see any lag at fresh start, and im not going to add any addons....so the next thing to do naturaly to open more tabs to
exclude there will be an issue....Firefox is going to have to accept to have 30 tabs open in the end, if thats the problem...then its not my problem ;)

However im going to do it as you suggest and perform this file-copying first, im sure it will not cause any delays or doublette loading, but we will see.....

Files:

cert9.db (cer8.db in Firefox 57 and below) (pkcs11.txt has replaced secmode.db; do not transfer)
chromeappsstore.sqlite (deprecated)
content-prefs.sqlite
cookies.sqlite
favicons.sqlite (Firefox 55 and above)
formhistory.sqlite
handlers.json (mimeTypes.rdf in Firefox 54 and below; bug 1287658)
key4.db (key3.db in Firefox 57 and below)
logins.json (Firefox 32 and above)
permissions.sqlite
persdict.dat
places.sqlite
sessionstore.js (Firefox 55 and below; can be used as a fallback)
sessionstore.jsonlz4 (Firefox 56 and above)
webappsstore.sqlite
signons.sqlite (Firefox 31 and below; can be used as a fallback, signon.importedFromSqlite; bug 1013947)
signons3.txt (Firefox 26 and below; bug 717490; bug 925101)
Folders:

bookmarkbackups
chrome (if it exists)
searchplugins (Firefox 44 and below

but i need answer on this before i can start

can you see this attached picture?

Just one thing to note in almost every case I have seen in over ten years the speed tweaks you see for Firefox are completely useless if not harmful.

if thats the problem...then its not my problem ;)

Firefox should have no problem opening a reasonable number of tabs at startup. What "reasonable" means will vary by the hardware and what other software is running/consuming memory at the time.

Agreed. The developers generally try for the best performance they can get so tweaks to enhance speed that are added after the fact (on a release version) are often counterproductive.

I believe this refers to the Launcher Process. It may have conflicts with customized UAC settings on Windows 7. Or maybe something in your customized command line is a factor?

In case you missed all the excitement, the Launcher Process debuted in Firefox 68. https://wiki.mozilla.org/Platform/Integration/InjectEject/Launcher_Process/

My sessions are also! in the application "tab session manager" and have no guarrantes they will auto-reloaded

You may want to consider only using one at a time of the native "Restore Previous Session" and any potential automatic restoration by Tab Session Manager.

And also we have the folder "sessionstore-backups" that seems to be firefox internal sessions,
and i cant know who!!! are being auto-loaded on startup,
the Tab session manager last session or Firefox internal?

Do the restored tabs have back-forward history? I don't think extensions can restore back-forward history.

I cant guarantee that i have tweaked all my 5 profiles, but its possible 8-[ but not with the same lines if so, i have no idea what they do!, i just followed orders :)

I guess this startup error atleast is isolated inside the profiles right?, so there is no meaning in completly uninstall firefox,
remove the entire folder, fresh start just to see if this error go away,
and performance errors will not be fixed if you uninstall right?since creating a new profile will be basicly fix all errors.

Right now im imobilized cause i cant differe this meassures from eachother and afraid that disabling addons mean "deleting data"

When you say native i get confused how they can be two?
Since Tab session manager is not native from within Firefox

There is in any case only one relevant setting right?
and that is to check `"continue where you left of"
I have not seen any auto-reload settings inside Tab session manager, thats why i wrote my topic the way i did.

Have you used Tab session manager yourself?

I dont know what back-forward history means, is it close? to copy-paste "Tab-Session-Manager@sienori.xpi"
into the "extensions" folder in the new created profile, and after that expect the sessions to re-apear inside the interface of the app?

Back and forward meaning the buttons on the toolbar. When Firefox restores a tab, it can have up to 10 pages on the Back button. I don't think an extension can restore tab history, just the last active URL of the tab.

Copying an XPI file only copies the extension, not the data it has saved in the storage folder of your profile. Can you export the data from your profile where it is saved and import it into the other one? https://addons.cdn.mozilla.net/user-media/previews/full/208/208365.png?modified=1567704438

I think I tested Tab Session Manager for a couple hours in 2017 or 2018. I only use the built-in feature.

I have never seen any toolbar, and with my attention passivity i will not on my own, so can you link a picture that shows the toolbar

But what you refere to cant possible mean Firefox "continue where you left of" function, which i claim can
restore enless amount of tbs

Its a mystery which folder tab session manager are storing its sessions, according to the import function
it wants the extensions (.session). or json, i have scanned my defect profile and there are no .session or .json files
insdie it,
Where are are they stored on computer?

I can conclude there are no delays even after copying all files according to this instructions http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_ ... _-_Firefox
How am i now supposed to import the sessions inside the profile..like the bookmarks who accually have appeared inside the new profile

Firefox own session folders (which i still dont know if i use or not)
"sessionstore-backups folder
sessionstore.jsonlz4 (Firefox 56 and above)"

have this extension .jsonlz4 they create a reading error inside Tab session manager
and Firefox have no own import session function for old sessions it seems? or am i wrong?.

* Back and forward are buttons on the main toolbar to the left of the address bar. One has an arrow pointing to the left, and the other to the right, you can't miss them.

* I did not say there was a limit to the number of tabs Firefox can restore. What I said was that tabs restored by Firefox can have back and forward history. I do not think that is true of tabs restored by extensions.

* Tab Session Manger uses Firefox's database storage. There are no useful files on disk. You need to export the session(s) to a file from Tab Session Manager before you can import the session(s) into a different profile.

* Firefox does not have a feature to import session history files. If you need to decompress a .jsonlz4 file, I have a tool here: https://www.jeffersonscher.com/ffu/scrounger.html
