Thunderbird "Saved Passwords" (Linux)

Post by JohnPB »

I have several email accounts serviced by the same ISP server.
Overnight the "Saved Password" for the first listed account was changed. Unable to download email from server.
After resetting the password at the server I then entered the new password, Thunderbird, and saved it to the "Saved Passwords" file.
I noticed that the Username in the password list is now only the account User Name not the email address.
This has not occurred with any of the other accounts.
Is this a Thunderbird update change ?
Or have I been hacked ?

Hi gdot179,
When did your account change?
Did you "lose" password access to your server?

This is all I was referring to in my answer.

I had never noticed the format of the password entries before so I can't comment on before and after.

The last time I changed one of my accounts password is the name only and no email address account.

The other three have the full name and address

I would not worry about it if everything is working OK.
