Is there a way to quickly focus on the search bar's icon?

Post by Odin2 »

I find Fx's search bar most useful, and particularly like the ability to add/remove search engines. My one issue is the time it usually takes to move my mouse pointer to the magnifying glass icon so I can choose my search engine. Is there any shortcut I could use to save some of that time?

Try Ctrl+K.

Thanks, Dan, but ctrl+k is what I've been using all along and its function is not what I'm asking about. (It allows me to change the search query but not the search engine.)

Yes, it does. Just use the down arrow key to move the cursor from the text entry area to the icons for the search engines currently available to choose from.
