Downloading a whole web page not just screenshot

I used to be able to save a whole web site (all the pages as you scroll down, not just what you see on the 1st screen by using the Shift/F2 process.

That doesn't seem to work in FF ver 75.

Is there a new way in FF to save all the pages you wan to print/save offline so you don't have to screenshot and save each page one by one?

I can save a complete web page in Firefox 80.

* right click web page
* left click save page as
* select save as type: web page, complete (*.htm;*.html)

morat - that method produces tons of files. In the old FF, it would save all you can scroll down to on a web site in one file and you could see it offline.

I believe those single file archiving formats have been discontinued.

I don't recall it being any different in version 75.

Sometimes you forget that a wonderful feature was provided by an extension. You could take a look at these:

Now, if you mean that you also want to save every linked page on the page, that would have been something else.

I like "SingleFile" and have used it often. To install it:

In the FF menu bar, click Tools > Add-ons.

Then in the "Find more add-ons box, type "Single File". A list of add-ons will appear with "SingleFile" at, or close to, the top of the list. The icon for this add-on is a blue page with a yellow down-pointing arrow in its lower right corner.

Click on "SingleFile", read its description, and download/install it if you want.

When you have a long web page and you have this add-on installed, you can download the entire page, without having to scroll, into a single file.

See if this works for you.

That Single File add-on looks like a real keeper. I just tried it out on a Wikipedia article and it did the job wonderfully, wish i had known about it sooner. Curious about your last sentence however. Why would it be something else?

The OP doesn't want to use that method because it produces separate elements that make up a webpage. Arguably, one could use Firefox's built-in save function "Save Page As" > Webpage HTML only which produces a single file. However that method does not capture any of the relevant images associated with the website but instead only provides a link for it. The Single File add-on recommended by Jscher2000 saves all the individual elements in one comprehensive HTML page.

There are "offline browser" programs that not only store everything used in the current page, they do the same for all the pages linked to in the current page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Offline_reader
