You've posted in MozillaZine Tech. In what email system do you want to do that? Thunderbird or something else?

You know, a little clarity at the beginning of these threads can save everyone some time and confusion.
If you want all messages coming into the Inbox folder to be marked as read, in SeaMonkey's Mail window use menu path Tools->Message Filters->New->From->Isn't->999999@999.com->under Perform these actions->select "Mark As Read"-Click the OK button.
Moving back to SeaMonkey Support.

Yahoo web mail should have a way to do that right in the Inbox.fixit7 wrote:In my Seamonkey browser.
My AOL and Verizon mail web interfaces do.
I log in.
Select the Inbox.
Click the box to the left of From. That selects all the emails.
Some icons and a "More" drop-down appear.
I select "More", then "Mark Read".
Hope that helps.

That doesn't sound like what the OP was asking about.WaltS48 wrote: Yahoo web mail should have a way to do that right in the Inbox.

I thought I asked, "In your SeaMonkey browser, or its Mail & Newsgroups window?"
Sorry, if I misunderstood "In my Seamonkey browser." as using web mail.

You could be right but we may never know as the OP doesn't seem interested in making his intentions clear.

That's not really helpful. Where was that screen shot taken from? In SeaMonkey, on the forum website, on a Yahoo portal page?

The screenshot shows another website and how you can clear unread posts.
I am amazed that no one here understands.
It's really quite simple.

Re: Mark all new posts as read in Yahoo webmail
What a particular web site offers in that regard has nothing to do with anything unless that is the web site you are visiting.
Are you referring to new email messages you are viewing in the SeaMonkey email module? Or are you viewing those emails on the Yahoo web page? Or some other "message" source entirely?
You seem to be intentionally making things more difficult with your obtuse answers. I'm about ready to lock this thread as pointless unless you provide more clear and detailed answers.
