Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
After upgrading to v82, I'm now getting 3 - 5 seconds of "not responding" ..... anyone else seeing this? Also, it's happening on more than one computer ..... I'm about to disable my Addons one at a time and see what happens.

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
Well, disabling the Addons ( have 10 ) one at a time made no difference ..... restarted in Safe Mode and the issue disappeared. I'm running the default Theme ...... guess I can start in normal mode, disable all Addons and work back the other direction ... seeing if one of them is the cause. Not sure if that's any different than what I've already done, but worth a shot.

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
Options -> General: Performance -> "Use recommended performance settings" -> "Use hardware acceleration when available"
See:
https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/pe ... e-settings
You need to close and restart Firefox for changes to take effect.

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
OK, thanks! I'll see if it makes a difference ....... there wasn't an issue until v82 ... did something change in v82 that might have caused this?

The "Hardware Acceleration" setting didn't seem to make a difference.......

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
82 has some issues, and Mozilla is fixing them. You probably need to wait until 82.0.1.

Thanks ... hopefully the update "will" make a difference ... everything was running fine prior to v82, so it only makes sense ... guess we'll see.

82.0.1 has been released. Hopefully that fixes all the issues.

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
Thanks! Just updated here at work (however, didn't really have much of those issues here) .... will be interesting to see how it goes at home (where both my desktop and laptop were affected).

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
Well, things were looking good on my desktop ..... however, only had it running about an hour ..... now, on my laptop after a couple of hours, the issues are as before. I'd been noticing that it seemed to take a little while of the browser being open before the problem started. So, back to the drawing board........

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
Started around FF78 for me, still happening after the newest version downloaded this morning on just about every site I go to these days.
Thought it was my ISP, it's not, thought it was running FF in Sandboxie, it's not, tried every combination of turning security switches, it's not.
It's FF.

82.0.2 has been released today. Also I'm seeing some people say they needed to restart the PC for it to work again. Maybe give that a try.

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
That's interesting tpaulr , however, don't know if we're referring to the same thing or not. When I say "not responding", I'm talking about Firefox itself, not a website not coming up, etc... my scrolling freezes for 2 - 3 seconds ... or when typing, nothing shows up for a few seconds then all appears ... that sort of thing.
Guess I'll see how 82.0.2 acts. Thanks Bobby!

Re: Firefox 82 - "Not Responding"
Before it renders, I get a blank screen that says "not responding", then it loads. Virtually every site, makes no difference.
I just downloaded the newest version, same issue.
