Re: Moderation / Spam / Login Activation Requests
How long does it take to approve a post? I'd have thought 6 days is plenty enough.
On top of that, new user needs posts to do ANYTHING, you are not approving them and without them one cannot even send PM to MODERATORS to poke somebody to approve. Never seen such stupidly contradicting board settings as far as I recall.

Re: Moderation / Spam / Login Activation Requests
Hi,
It most probably depends on if there's any Moderators on-line & not engaged in other, more personal activities, such as work.home life, asleep etc., etc.
As for not being able to contact anyone, there's a "small" problem with the board software
& we cannot fix it.

We all have our fingers & toes X'd that someone will take over the Admin job..

Re: Moderation / Spam / Login Activation Requests
The main reason why new members have required first post approval (since March 2011) is due to the large amount of spam attempts made each day. If spam attempts was more rare we would not need to use first post approval.
There was no post still needing moderation for the past six days as perhaps it either was not posted or it was disproved where you should get a notice.
Btw this MozillaZine Site Discussion section still allows for Guest posting, though spammers sometimes try to take advantage of that each day also.

Re: Moderation / Spam / Login Activation Requests
Didn't get no notification either for approved (plus its not there) or otherwise. So where did it go??
I have no problem with the feature itself, but it was never ever combined with setting where new users could not even PM moderators/admins. THIS is really crappy combination. I know PHPbb could be pain, I also run one almost dead site with pretty dead forums, barely keeping it alive, though I think it's just a combination of rights in the ACP, nothing more. If the forums version is not terribly outdated that is…

Re: Moderation / Spam / Login Activation Requests
What was the subject of the thread or was it a post in a existing thread? The mod logs may show if post was disapproved.

It was question whether that run addon is stil working since it does not work for me for a long time in no browser. Developer's site says this is the support forum for it http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=1003435

Note that Firefox 57 and/or higher are deliberately unsupported and will remain so!

Seamonkey and palemoon are Firefox 57 and/or higher?
What does it work in than, nothing? Might as well turn off the lights and shut the doors, or?

Hi EITxolo,
Is that good enough, as I don't know which section, (how much) of the code to edit?
