Hi,
Thunderbird 91.3.2 (32-Bit) is crashing shortly after start. In troubleshooting mode it starts. in the trouble shooting menue i uses the following permanent options: 1) disable all add-ons 2) reset toolbar and controls Make changes and restart But again Thunderbird is crashing. Does anyone have a good hit to solve this? Any help is appreciated. Grretings, Anselm ![]() Clear the browser cache and the Windows Temp directory.
Download a new copy of the full installer from http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/all Delete the directory C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird Run the installer. Note that your saved messages, address books, settings, passwords, etc (if any) are stored in a different directory from the program files and will not be removed by deleting the directory identified above. This thread viewtopic.php?f=39&t=996475&p=5239885#p5239885 has a more detailed version of the above instructions if needed. Is hardware acceleration in Preferences/General enabled in normal mode? It is disabled in safe/troubleshoot mode, along with other things:

Thank you DanRatsch
Still crashing
Thank you sfhowes, i deactivated hardware acceleration already before i opened this thread. I recognized i had a handful of tabs opened in thunderbird and one shows as busy (maybe one used by a plugin). I was able to close all tabs before thunderbird crashed. Afterwards i was able to start thunderbird correctly. I will now activate my plugins again and see if all is working fine weird
trouble shooting menue: disable all add-ons Make changes and restart does not disable the plugins. I was not aware, because i deactivated the plugins before. I deactivated the plugins. Seems to work fine until i am opening the preference page. After opening the preference page, Thunderbird is getting sluggish and is crashing. Crash-ID:

It was the browser cache to be cleared, not that of Thunderbird. How are you defining add-ons vs plug-ins? To which plug-ins are you referring? The crash-stats site is not accepting new crash IDs
https://crash-stats.mozilla.org/report/ ... c761211127 but if Preferences is hanging, make sure all language packs in Tools/Add-ons & Themes/Languages are disabled or removed, as this is a known issue.
this helps, thank you ![]() The crash ID is from 27th of November (is this too new?), it is in the submitted folder. The link in my previous reply is for the ID you posted. It looks like there's a bug in the crash submission software.
yes, i recognizes this. Is this really a bug in crash transmiting software or a bug in https://crash-stats.mozilla.org. I am not able to find any crash report for thunderbird (but for firefox) in https://crash-stats.mozilla.org Btw, as i already mentioned:
Does not disable (all?) add-ons. ![]()
Extensions, e.g. manual sort folders, Provider for google calendar, tbsync, google-4-tbsync
