"Sync"ability...

Post by sjkottke »

I am excited about this new option for a Calenday with Tasks function. For me it is really important to be able to sync my pocket pc with my calendar on my desktop computer. I currently use Outlook because I feel like I don't have other options. I can't wait to see what the future holds.

My first post (here it goes):

I was also asked by my Uncle recently about this type of Synchronisation ability. He uses outlook calendar to sync his events with his PDA and is interested in switching to Sunbird because there are no other options. He uses a bluetooth connection to send things there but I also was wandering, is there a way to easily transfer your calendar file to a PDA?

Oh and i'm really liking Sunbird at the moment. Can't wait for the future!

Look at http://www.kyuran.be/world/html/article-51-0.html

The next release will also contain
- Bi directionnel synchronisation between pocket pc and webserver (that could be password enabled)
- Recurring appointments
- Import and export of the todo tasks.
- Accent in description (UTF8 support)

The help has a list of sync products and projects: Synchronizing calendars

By the way, if you currently sync Sunbird 0.2, be aware that future versions of Sunbird store data differently. Your might have to change some things to keep sync working, or use a different sync solution.
