In the Bookmarks file there are 3 letters assigned B, M, S for single letter shortcuts, there are no other letters assigned, since I don't assign any myself.
In my personal bookmarks file which is part of bookmarks, I use folders with short names,
in this entire area of bookmarks there are NO single letter shortcuts within the list of bookmarks.
If I go to the folder (folder: K) in my personal bookmarks where I keep my keyword shortcuts and I have a lot of them: --
I want to type a letter "P" to get me down to the P's -- this is fine if there are none in which case it beeps, or if there are multiples it will select the first, second, etc, and then return to the firs P -- no problem. BUT if there is only one entry that begins with P then it will immediately select that entry which is an undesired result.
Is there a way to disable immediate implementation from bookmarks on a single letter selection,
so that I can make a choice. I'm just looking through the choices, I don't want to be forced into having a choice made for me.
I have no problem with this behavior in menus -- because I can almost always see all of the choices at once (for context menu I reduced size with "Menu Editor" extension). Folders is the only problem.
FWIW most of my keyword shortcuts were included at the time that I created the following page:
