Password Manager is still broken. Unckecked "Save Passwords" and Password Manager still pops up.

I'm having that password manager problem too. It was working properly in a slightly earlier build. I made a clean profile and everything.

I also found that smooth scrolling doesn't perform nearly as fast as it did a few builds ago (like the latest milestone). The transparrent autoscroll icon seems to chunk things up too. Anyone else having that issue?

Having same problems, i hate the password manager box asking me if i want to save the password every single time.. its so annoying, and if its not solved soon, i'm going back to IE.

I think the built in autoscroller is going to be replaced by the AIO autoscroller. The bug is at: http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=212273 Maybe this will fix those problems you're having.

Maybe the password popup problem is related to the new password manager that was checked in: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=19683
Using the August 11th build shouldn't have this problem.

It wasn't meant as a threat, I love Firebird, i just hate this "bug".

As has been said - 11th of August. I've never seen this since before the new passwords thing came on. It was always the form info I had problems with.

That AIO autoscroller looks very promising, indeed. However, normally I have autoscrolling off and smooth scrolling on. Is the mere existence current autoscroller in Firebird really what's causing smooth scrolling to slow down considerably? http://www.dynamism.com for example is terrible with the current build's smooth scroll, even with autoscrooling disabled.

The autoscroller shouldn't be causing smooth scrolling to slowdown and I have no problems with dynamism.com. So if you are having problems why not turn off smooth scrolling?

With smoothscroll both on & off and autoscroll from AiO on the page does lag. It's due to all the images on the page.

Many people find smooth scrolling easier on the eyes, just a nitpick for many IE users and I actually like it too when it works. Smooth scrolling worked wonderfully in milestone 0.6.1, it was just broken recently. I think it's silly to add a feature simply to break later and leave broken indefinately. Just disabling it doesn't exactly get the bug fixed.

Perhaps I should disable images too if Firebird happens to have a problem with them in a couple of web pages. The internet didn't have images back in the day, so Firebird doesn't need to render them anyway.

Okay, I'll stop. I just hope my point was understood. All I know is it worked FINE before and it doesn't now. I don't want that to get ignored is all.

Now that I think of it, it may not be the smooth scroller at all but just how Firebird renders the page now (which is most noticable with smooth scrolling).

When I go to dynamism.com with the 0.6.1 milestone, it renders crazyfast even with smooth scrolling. With these recent nightlys it's not as quick and solid, even without smooth scrolling enabled. I installed 0.6.1 in another directory aside from 20030816 to double check, the milestone is WAY faster then the recent nightlies when it comes to navigating web pages. Something seems to be gimping the current renderer.

I wonder what they did that made it so much slower...

I think Dunderklumpen meant "... then don't use nightlies". Right, Dunderklumpen? Btw, http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=216219 is fixed, so tomorrow's nightlies shouldn't have that password bug.
