We expect a Firefox 1.0.5 release in the not too distant future and we'd appreciate any help you all can offer by downloading and testing out these new bits. The changes that need the most testing coverage are in how the UI widgetry works.
Our preliminary testing doesn't turn up any issues, but patches similar to the ones we've recently taken in the 1.0.5 development builds have created some small bugs in out of the way places in the UI so please poke around and let us know if you find anything not working as it did in previous 1.0.x builds.

You need to be up to building Firefox from it's source code with these patches added to a local CVS tree.

Ahh I see, well I have not done any html or any programming apart from BBC basic  So I guess I will have to wait for it to be checked in :(

No, that patch was for Mac's...

Bug #293235 is the patch for link being marked read.

Seems like some of the mirrors have not been updated.
Clear you cache and try again. Hopefully you hook up to one of those that have todays build!

The <a href="http://mozilla.isc.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/">California mirror</a> definitely has the 20050625 nightly.

With the ID:2005.06.25.11 hourly trunk build, I could download by left clicking. Then, I exited and reopened and got that "source cannot be read" error when trying again. The problem might be in that compreg.dat file when closing Deer Park, but I'm not sure.

From what I experience until now will everything that makes Firefox register components, also make the leftclick download work - for that session.
