Talked to KaiRo about this, and he more or less agrees on the thing, if he doesn't have to support it! :)
He suggests using npm.l10n to contact all localizers (as most or all of them do read the newsgroup).
He also doesn't know much about UMO to be of help regarding multilanguage extensions eventually hosted there.

Regarding the name, we should avoid the -zilla or moz- or whatever, so we'll not incur in MoFo legal dept. ;)
Just my .02€.
Cheers, Giacomo.

I totally agree :)

Sum of the "valid" names
  • Lion's extensions
  • extensionsl10n
  • The Extension Link
  • extenl10n
  • The Locale Place

Sum of the "risky" names
  • BabelZilla
  • l10nzilla.org

I think they are sufficient! :D
What do you think? Is it now the right time for this first choice?

OK for extenl10n ! (I always agree with my boss, anyway :-) I think it is more important to know how it will work on a technical side : hosting ? which kind of site ? forum or spip or whatsoever...and who will be able to run the whole stuff ? Only common language (global english as usual ?) or what ?

(By the way, I rang the bell and got some news from the German extensions team, they seem quite interested and will probably take part, but are much busy these days with releasing a new version of their extension portal)

Robert Kaiser, mlp-staff@mozilla.org and German Suite/SeaMonkey translator, among a few things.

I think we will mostly need a forum (phpBB or IPB based), maybe we could need a portal (like TEM?) and of course somebody able to manage and mantein this kind of stuff :D
You Sboulema look like the right one ;)

Ciao :)

A portal which can manage projects would be interesting. I think Drupal can.
