As the history teaches, software with an easy interface was widely distributed and used. Microsoft came to a big group of users with the introduction of Microsoft Windows 3.1 and 3.11. Windows 95 split the userbase of the old and newer users and was a big success in the Microsoft History. Windows NT 3.51 (which was in fact Windows NT 1.0) and NT4 weren't really appreciated by the users, but Windows 2000 now grows and grows. Windows XP is a even larger success than 2000, thanks to Microsoft's deals with the PC industry).

With Windows 98 and Millennium, MS could widen the marketing of the "efforts of the 9x platform" even more. This tells us, the interface and the usability is the most important point in developing new mass-userbase-software like Mozilla Firebird, Mozilla Thunderbird. To be more ahead is a really important fact, too. Therefore, the development should keep its line between more unexperienced users and the advanced users as well. The more unexperienced users will learn, how to use advanced software, and the advanced users can teach themselves and the more unexperienced users as well.

This will result in a nice marketing effort for the whole Mozilla project, it gains in more money to get, more money to invest in new projects. Offer products like a advanced browser for a well-rated company. An Google browser, with the advanced technology of Mozilla Firebird and the searching power of Google. A big deal, a big browser and new technologies being developed for the whole project. An Amazon browser with the same target and new technologies as well. State-of-the-art projects for Enterprise marketing and a place in this market. Everything's possible, now.

The Mozilla project has got a spicy, hot project in petto and can try to ask for help out of other countries, like the European countries in the EU, China, Japan and new contributers in the US, too. More Users=more strength, power and more chances to achieve a big position in the new net, "A Brand New Tomorrow [creating], Today!" by the Open-Source community.

In advance,

This would be nice but Mozilla's non-profit and doesn't have the devs, time, or the money to do the things you speak of. Maybe someday.....
