Feature Request: Minimize Thunderbird to the system tray
It would be nice if thunderbird could minimize to the system tray or keep a instance of the program running. This would allow users to be notified of new mail all the time

Re: Feature Request: Minimize Thunderbird to the system tray
Every other email client has built-in minimize to tray functionality. Thunderbird is the only one that doesn't. It's 2016. It's time.
Relying on third-party plugins that half work and break with every update is not a good option. Please!
