I have finished the DMT translation into beautyful language of Hungarian. Where should I post my translation?

Could you please add an option to make the downloaded file's timestamp equal to that of the source. For instance if I download setup.exe from a website that was originally uploaded on January 3, 2003 5:04pm I'd like that to be the last modified timestamp of setup.exe on my PC.

I wasn't aware that timestamping was available through http. Is it?

I think it comes through the 'Last-Modified' header sent by the server. Virtually all download managers (ie, FlashGet, ReGet) and FTP apps (ie, FlashFXP) have an option to apply the 'Last-Modified' timestamp to downloaded files. The Get File Size is an example extension that grabs this information.

Is anybody planning to crate an add-on for the FireFox built-in download manager? I am missing 2 "important" options: the speed limit and the maximum number of active threads. (And a little bit bigger links for pause/remove/cancel/continue, for example small buttons.)

Where should be sent the translated locale?

Post by Premier »

Hello.

I made a Japanese locale for Download Manager Tweak 0.7.0.
The address is not understood though I want to send to the author.
Please teach where to send the file.

Because Premier piqued my interested I did some searching and found that there is indeed a Download Manager Tweak 0.7.0. Everyone can get it here if they want.

I don't know why it isn't public and posted on the website but at least hardcore DMT users can use it until something becomes available on the website or via https://addons.mozilla.org

There is a problem with Download Manager Tweak 0.7.0 - If you open Advanced Settings, There is no way to close the window except to Close Firefox.
Needs to be fixed ASAP.

WFM

I tested by
1. Launching tools->options->download->advanced - then pressing CLOSE button
2. Launching tools->options->download->advanced - then pressing the upper-right dialog EXIT button
3. Launching EM, opening DMT - then pressing CLOSE button

All cases reverted me back to the FF browser

I am using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b5) Gecko/20051011 Firefox/1.4.1 - Build ID: 2005101105 with WindowBlinds 5 beta

Problem using Download Manager Tweak 0.7.0

It might work on Window Based Versions, But in the Branch Mac Version, When I open: Preferences/Downloads/Advanced,
The Advanced Pref Window has No: CLOSE, OK or Cancel Button, And I am forced to close Firefox to exit.

Hope it's the right place to request features for DMT, but i don't want to post in on the mailing list.

Is it possible to show in the sidebar the download speed (and, why not, the remaining time) as we can see it in the download manager window (which i don't use) ?

Thanks

Setting File Modification Time

I would second this request. Possibly also for FTP, like e.g. wget -N is doing (only setting the file modification time, not the conditional download functionality).
