Official Win32 2003-08-31 Build Screwed Up

Post by The Drake »

Looks like a fix for the "Themes bug" (bug 213994) was checked in last night. Hopefully it's been included in this build and works properly. [-o<

The build shouldn't be done yet, it takes hours. When it's done, it ends up here.

What the heck...now it's listing a Win32 for the 31st (though it didn't a minute ago, even after I cleared my cache). That FTP's on Eastern time?

I confirm on corrupted file.

My copy from ftp.mozilla.org was corrupted. The first time I downloaded from ftp36.newaol.com it didn't show up, so I down loaded again and it was corrupted.

My copy of 2003-08-30 has been ok so far, so I'll stick with that for now.

It´s borked/busted/corrupt ....again...

Can anyone explain why this is happening so often lately since it might end up with users not bothering to download and update Firebird, official builds?

This is very strange. I was already downloading the zip file when I read this forum so as long as I wasted time downloading it I decided to try to figure out what was wrong. I first thought perhaps it was some bizzare case where the Cygwin version of zip was incomaptible with the windows version so I tried unziping it with Cygwin with the same bad result. So I then did an od on the file to see if the whole thing looked like junk or if the end of it was just truncated.

The results were very strange. Although this file appears to be the correct length for a build file. The enitre contents. Evey single byte of it are all zeroes!

You can build for Win32 with all free tools. Nilson has instructions on how to do so. I suggest you read gemal’s first.
