Has anyone got Dict and mid to work in Firefox 1.5 Beta, yet?

I have just performed the make compatible with the night build tools now on both. I have not restarted my Firefox 1.5 Beta afterwards, yet.

I am using WIndows XP service Pack 2 on Centrino 1.6GHz CPU, 11GB of free space 1.5GB RAM.

I've been able to get both to work , However I have not worked with mid long.





My question is ,

Could someone get the CookieStatus extension working properly.

Or maybe start A new progect at MozDev revamping this extension entirely for A 1.7 and 2.0 jump.


The name of the Extension Developer is Tobu , ( Sounds JP ) He's doen some work on SiteSled and is on the Mozilla Weblogs.

Yeah either the bookmarks toolbar or the regular bookmarks menu doesn't work for me. Also alt+enter in the search bar no longer works.

Oh well, I use it in a different way. In the customize window I uncheck some menus that I don't use, e.g. Edit, View etc.
With the Menu Editor extension http://menueditor.mozdev.org/ you could move menuitems to another menu, e.g. View Fullscreen to Tools. That way you could use the original Bookmarksmenu with only a long Tools menu.

I ended up using MenuX and it works great much better then compact menu.

RPGMaker:

I got FavIcon Picker 0.2.6 to work with the latest Mozilla Firefox 1.5 Beta 1. Here is how I did it.

1. Downloaded favicon_picker-0.2.6-fx.xpi and saved it as favicon_picker-0.2.6-fx.zip
2. Opened the .zip file using WinZip
3. Opened the install.rdf file using notepad
4. Set the MINversion to 0.10 and the MAXVersion to 1.7 and saved the changes back into install.rdf in the .zip file
5. Renamed favficon_picker-0.2.6-fx.zip back to favicon_picker-0.2.6-fx.xpi
6. Opened Firefox Extensions and dragged the .XPI into the Extensions window.

Now, here is how to us it.

1. Open the Extensions window in Firefox
2. Right Mouse Click on Favicon Picker
3. Select Options
4. Select the Property (Name for Example) and click on Next
5. Enter the keyword (i usually de-select "match case")
6. Click on next when you see the item you wish to change in the Bookmarks list
7. Select Replace FavIcons with and click the Browse button

UPDATE: Sedholm - I know exactly those steps you describe so well in your post ... I either
was doing those steps or using my USB Firefox 1.0.6 to make my icon updates and then copying over
the bookmark.html file - ugggh! For 6+ months I did that - now you see why I had to do something to
fix the extension <grins>

Thank you Swami and DB. I searched all over to find one that would work and was unsuccessful, thus I created/hacked my own. I will try the 0.30 version you mention and see what happens. If it (0.30) does not work, at least I have my version that does work.
