how to export thunderbird-filters?

How can i export filters from Thunderbird? ... to use it on another thunderbird-installation (on another machine)?
is that possible???

The message filters are in this file: msgFilterRules.dat Just copy it into the new profile. You will probably have to do some tweaking to get them to work properly.

unfortunately, i cannot find a file named "msgFilterRules.dat" or similar within
%Programm Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\%

the *.dat files there are:
xpti.dat (i)
compreg.dat (ii)
mailViews.dat (iii)

in (ii) i can find lines like "@mozilla.org/messenger/services/filters;1,{5cbb0700-04bc-11d3-a50a-0060b0fc04b7}"

maybe i should update Thunderbird first before i can find "msgFilterRules.dat" ?
... currently i am running "Version 0.9 (20041103)"

This would be part of your profile not the program directorys. Your profile location depends on your OS. Check the knowledge base for profiles at http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile

The tweaking is up to you. The filters may not point exactly as they did before, so you may need to modify them for your new install.
