Unofficial 2003-09-14 build optimized for P2/P3/PPro/Athlon

Post by Sipaq »

I built Mozilla Firebird today from CVS with MSVC++ .NET 2002 using some optimisations for PPro/P2/P3 and Athlon processors. This build will run fine on *any* Win32/x86 compatible platform. I've posted the build here:

http://www.cs.vu.nl/~hkolk/Firebird_2003-09-14_O1-G6.exe
http://www.babylonsounds.com/firebird/Firebird_2003-09-14_O1-G6.exe
(4,93 MB - selfextracting 7-zip archive)

Additional measures to reduce the build size have been taken. These include the removing of old seamonkey cruft from en-us.jar, classic.jar and comm.jar in the chrome directory.

See bug 189043 and bug 200142 for more information. The size reductions detailed in both bugs haven't been applied in full scale, since the proposed changes there aren't fully tested. So I applied only those changes, which I believe to be safe.

Checkout time was 00:49 CEST (GMT +0200).

Since my server has a rather low traffic limit, I would appreciate some mirrors or bittorrent trackers.

My .mozconfig is:
export MOZ_PHOENIX=1
mk_add_options MOZ_PHOENIX=1
ac_add_options --enable-crypto
ac_add_options --disable-tests
ac_add_options --disable-debug
ac_add_options --disable-mailnews
ac_add_options --disable-composer
ac_add_options --disable-profilesharing
ac_add_options --disable-installer
ac_add_options --enable-optimize="-O1 -G6"
ac_add_options --disable-ldap
ac_add_options --enable-extensions=cookie,xml-rpc,xmlextras,p3p,pref,transformiix,universalchardet,typeaheadfind,webservices
ac_add_options --enable-static
ac_add_options --disable-shared

I didn't know that there was a 9-14 build yet. /latesttrunk/ shows 9-13.

There are some that do their own private builds in contrast to the official builds.

Sure, but only mozilla-related checkins which also affect firebird:
This build includes the fixes for bug 218920, bug 165653, bug 215042, bug 56061, bug 218222, bug 179834, bug 218756 and bug 173277.

Could you remember to include the platform (Win32) in your topic titles in future?

Thanks :)
