Firefox Builds Configuration

updater is working correctly as from the 1205 build (i only create partial update patches at the moment)

Build Optimization:

-Ox -GLA
Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition

(ie, my builds should run on any system that runs windows)

each of my builds for a while have had some funny string in the file name (eg: vMJScC), here is a quick layout of what it means:

V: built with Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition Beta
v: built with Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition
M: MNG support
J: JNG support
Sc: SVG support (with Cairo rendering)
Sg: SVG support (with GDI+ rendering)
C: Canvas Support
p: --disable-places

Strange, your build GUI is much slower even that official build. New tabs are opened with noticeable slowdown :( Whole build looks like slowed :( But JS tests and other are fine :)

wonder what would be causing that sort of slowdown...

could you please try the krtest build and let me know if it seems slow also?

yup. I tried your 20051211 build. Slowdown is only with GUI not with page rendering etc.
BTW: i have win2k3+sp1(read winxp+sp2)

i think you missed the other build i want you to try, the KRtest build (1129)

i want to see if its to do with any of the patches i apply to my builds.

can you check the event log for a couple of events that would be in there for that error (WinSxS i think)

hmm, not sure why it is bringing up that error then, iirc that error is a problem with the redist stuff, and im assuming you dont have .net framework 2.0 installed.

i'm going to do another build in the next day or two and try a couple of things.

btw, with the latest build thats uploaded (1205), are you able to use the updater successfully to get the 1210 build?
