I successfully logged on much later using a notice of a response to a thread I was active on. There my id and password functioned flawlessly, whereas previous attempts where I even pasted in the password received from mozillazine.org email refused to work. Said the combination was unknown.
Are you having problems? It's been two days without a response, or is it automatically sensed that I have successfully returned?
I will post this question elsewhere, since I suspect this portion of the forum is not the proper place to ask (however, just in case someone knows):
In attempting to post a news story I have published about problems with Firefox 1.5 and some of the solutions I employ, the form used to submit news seems conflicted. That is, I have a link that I can cite to the actual on line publication, yet it seems to require the entire content posted. Other wording seems to hint that the latter action is not necessary. I posted this question to the webmaster and so far no response.
Anyone know how I can post a news story without pasting in the entire article?
TIA
Couldn't login - emailed as instructed, however, no response

There have been reports of problems with account activations and this is the correct forum for reporting them. Yours seems to have been resolved.

I tried sending just the link and the author, but said the content part was required. So I inserted the article summary and then noted it could be read by using the enclosed link. I did not set up the link in html or the coded form you suggested. Well let's see if I get any response.
Thanks for your response, should have read your answer more closely the first time, but I was busy writing and running errands.

It was the "submit news" section that my second question referred to. In any case, I just experimented and the text part was indeed a requirement. Sent in as a summary telling whomever does the reviewing the article itself may be reached through the link.
I have been posting on the mozilla forums under this alias for well over a year now. Moreover, I was episodically active in testing the pre-release versions of what became Firefox 1.5, hence, posting my experiences. No problem encounter on posting on mozilla forums.

Regarding the Submit News form:
The 'Article Text' section is perhaps a little misleadingly titled. It means YOUR article text. In the case of submitting an link to an article, this will probably be a brief synopsis of the article. If your writing is well-written enough, the MozillaZine admins may use your text directly on the front page (crediting you, of course) or they may do their own write-up (in which case you will still get credited for sending the link).
Often, people write longer articles for MozillaZine, in which case the title 'Article Text' is more appropriate.
As a side-note, MozillaZine's main news editor (Alex) is away right now, so there's a lot less action on the front page than usual.

I've just re-read your original posting and realised you were submitting a link to an article you wrote. In that case, a 'I've recently published an article about..' thing (which is what it sounded like you wrote) is absolutely fine.
I'm sure it will get on the front page if your article is any good, but bear in mind that news posting is taking much longer than usual.
