paste as quotation??

Post by wombat1234 »

I've noticed that anything I copy from the web, beit a web page, or text from a page, and then try to copy it to a newgroup message, or email message, the right click menu only gives you 1 option "paste as quotation" i'm sure this never came up in the past, i used to just copy and paste the text! Is there a way of stopping this action, so i can just paste as nornal??

My context menu has both "paste" and "paste as quotation" when I try to paste text I copied from your post into a plain text message. I also get a "paste without formatting" choice if I compose a HTML message.

I'm using Thunderbird 1.5 under XP Pro SP2. What are you using? When did this problem first occur ?

As a sanity check see if you can paste that text into notepad (which only supports a paste option).
