Extension install file in extensions windows - can't remove

Post by mentallo »

Right now this is happening with the Foxylicious extension.

In the extensions window it shows the foxylicious entry and below that one is the foxylicous xpi file which when right clicked can not be removed or updated or anything.

Uninstalling and reinstalling does not make the problem go away.

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_ ... installing
...close your Mozilla application and go to your profile folder. Delete the files:

extensions.cache
extensions.ini
extensions.rdf

Note: If you are just trying to remove a non-functioning "xxxxxxxx.xpi" entry from the Extension Manager, you can also delete these three files, or simply delete the file extensions.rdf from the profile folder [3] (bug 319022).

Er... the same way as any other extension http://kb.mozillazine.org/Uninstalling_add-ons

If that does not work ... try the solution Alice suggested, above.
