SessionSaver causes two crashes:

One when logging in to these forums.
The second when I check the checkbox to add a bug to my vote list in bugzilla.

I think you have to be more careful than that, as Mossop has a <a href="http://users.blueprintit.co.uk/~dave/web/firefox/development/archive.html?id=nightly-1.0&name=nightly">1.0.1a branch</a> (currently at rev658) and a <a href="http://users.blueprintit.co.uk/~dave/web/firefox/development/archive.html?id=nightly&name=nightly">1.1a trunk</a> (currently at rev661 but this had a rev658 too).

I think I used to use the branch version up till today. I am not sure tho since I just used that link that mossop once provided and I wasn't aware that there were two different versions at that time. But NTT didn't make any trouble before the update and it isn't doing so now after the update.

Wait for
#336432[Core:Security: CAPS]-[FIX]Crash [@ nsScriptSecurityManager::SecurityCompareURIs] with Adblock Plus on haaretz.co.il [All] to be checked in, soon.
It should probably deal with all the crashes that were introduced in todays build

Dumping XPIs in C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\extensions doesn't work any more (to install them) same is the case with the profile folder. Have to drag and drop each file (oh the pain!) can anyone else confirm?
Thanks

aliumalik - I can confirm. I suspect #214672[Core]-Further optimization and correctness improvements of libjar: streamlining nsJarInputStream [All] caused this regression on trunk

i've had a lot of crashes (non-recoverable hangs with nearly 100% cpu usage) with ff in the last several days, glad to see its not only me. (maybe not). i'll try disabling adblock plus 0.7 after i update to today's build.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060502 Minefield/3.0a1 - Build ID: 2006050216 [cairo]

FOLLOWUP:

after i updated to an hourly of today's build, ff crashed every time i tried to go somewhere other than the home page. i disabled adblock plus 0.7 and sure enough, no more crashes. i also have noticed (occasionally) lately that some of the hangs/crashes i've had are at/with js3250.dll. SPOKE TOO SOON, i've gotten another crash @ js3250.dll.

i don't believe js3250.dll is related to the (possible) adblock crashes since i've gotten another crash @ js3250.dll with adblock disabled. and besides, by the sound of it, it has something to do with javascript....

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20060503 Minefield/3.0a1 - Build ID: 2006050308 [cairo]

@Trolly,
The fix is in for ugly blueness.. You could grab an hourly, or suffer it out till tomorrows nightly.

That version is a development build (a trunk build if you will ;) ) and while you are all quite welcome to use it it does have experimental features, many of which aren't actually working right yet so don't complain about them ;)

The latest stable (as stable as it gets anyway) build which also fixes these problems is http://users.blueprintit.co.uk/~dave/co ... -1.0.1.xpi which I will be submitting to AMO shortly.

If you want a userchrome fix to use until tomorrow's nightly then use:

Code: Select all

#urlbar[level="high"] > .autocomplete-textbox-container,
#urlbar[level="low"] > .autocomplete-textbox-container {
  background-color: #F5F6BE !important;
}
