I just installed IE7. I made sure Firefox is still set to be my default browser. When I click on a link in an email, my brower doesn't open. The only way I can get the link to open is to copy and paste it into Firefox. If I set my default browser to be IE7 of course it will open. Is there a fix for this? I guess the message is to beware of IE7 if you want Firefox to work.

This is a problem with IE 7 beta. Just go back to IE 6 for now. You're better off that way.

Thanks for the tip. I called Microsoft phone support for IE7 at 866-876-4926. They seemed to be unaware of the problem. What a surprise! They said it would be up to Firefox to fix Microsoft problems again by making Firefox work with IE7! Typical! The tech did admit that she uses Firefox at home. I ended up uninstalling IE7 and going back to IE6. If it was possible, I would get rid of IE from my computer entirely but it's so buried in the XP operating system that this is not possible. Their poor coding and inferior product just leads to more holes in my computer.

I was using Outlook Express with my local ISP. It was definitely a problem created by IE7. When I went back to IE6, the problem was fixed.

There must be a better solution than this! How hard can it be for a link to take me (from Outlook 2000) to Firefox ... ?
Why is it that the folder opened when I do click on a link like that is \Program Files\Common Files\System\MAPI\1033\NT What is the file it is looking for?
