Virus in updater.exe

Hi all
While scanning my pc today for viruses Avast antivirus found a virus in
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\ in the file updater.exe.
The virus name is Win32:Sality-W.
Is this possible?
Did anyone else had the same problem?

Check the Avast website. If I remember correctly, there is a false positive in the database for the updater with indeed that virus.
