Can we re-allow non-logged in users to see the Extensions Releases forum? Many extension developers (me included) use threads in that forum as the primary place for support for our users.

I'm hoping to see the Official Builds forum open to guests again. The closest thing to Peter(6)'s threads is The Burning Edge, which is over a week out of date right now.

I'm also waiting for Offical Builds to open again.
If only Peter(6) would post his updates elsewhere, then I wouldn't ever need to burden MozillaZine with bandwidth again.

Anyway, I'll just continue to use my latest trunk nightly, essentually blind, for the time being.

Mozilla, I'm sorry to say is an ass for not giving you guys as many fucking servers as you need. Sorry for the curse but I was just checking out the Firefox official build release page and knew that they were redirecting traffic here in some way [I think since the 1.5 release last year] b/c I was sure they had posted a link to these forums. And I was right, I found it easily as I'm sure the millions of Firefox users around did too: http://www.mozilla.com/support/. Which can be seen in the subsection 'Message boards' right after clicking that large top-aligned 'Support' button from the Firefox page. To further increase Mozillazine's popularity.... the 3rd link under Firefox Help, is 'Knowledge Base'. Click that, lol, we are directly referenced in bold smack dab in the middle of the page:
If you wish to discuss problems or ask questions related to Firefox, please use the MozillaZine Forums. This Knowledge Base simply provides documentation.

Geez, stop being cheap Mozilla. I know they don't support us, we're a separate entity. But when they start telling people to come here.... when do they realize they're going to need to help us accomodate that size of people they're redirecting to us.

Would talking to Ben Goodger do anything about this? It doesn't seem anybody w/ money can be reached about this situation.

Let's just indefinitely shut down the forums so they can see just exactly how much of a damn role we play in making Firefox what it is. I know that would be unbearable... even for a day but if this is going to help us in the long term... why not? We can surely live w/o Peter's trunk build threads for a while [even as much as that last part was hard as hell to type, we have to make a statement]. We can't keep running on fumes hoping for someone to donate a free server or to raise enough money to buy another. I just don't think the users of the Mz are that generous. But the outrage of millions of users should grab the attention of Mozilla.

Already, it looks like the forums are unlocked now! (At least at this time.)
