Hi,

I can't run any applet on Firefox.

I'm using Windows XP SP1 and I have JDK 5.0 installed, which contains the JRE.
When I try to run an applet, Firefox complains that I don't have JRE (even though I have JDK). Even if I try to download and install it, I get an error saying I already have it.

On my about:plugins every Java entry is enabled. The only disabled entry is "Mozilla Default Plug-in" (don't know if that matters).

What should I do?

Thanks in advance

dickvl

Do you have Java enabled?
Tools > Options > Content : Enable Java

Change the plugin.expose_full_path pref to show the full path of the plugins on the about:plugins page (url bar):
In the url bar, type: about:config <enter>
Filter: plugin.expose_full_path -> true (double click to toggle)

Check the path of the plugins on the about:plugins page (url bar)
Does the plugin point to the folder where Java is installed?

Does the test page work? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Java#External_links

(edit: about:config line added)

I dit that on about:config (not plugins) and they're working now.

Thank you very much!

You're welcome

I see that I forgot the about:config line in my post (should have been there above the Filter line; I must have accidentally removed it with a recent cleanup/edit or my help file).
I edited my post to correct that.
