Smoke: Firebird port

Post by aaron »

I finished my midterms and am now free to start work on the Firebird version of Smoke. Question before I begin:

This is what I was thinking of my options as far as icon sizes go:

A.) small = 32x32 (like in the Mozilla version), large = 48x48...

B.) small = 24x24, large = 32x32 (like in the Mozilla version)....

I need to know what would be best please :) All comments appreciated. I want to be able to use my Mozilla icons I worked so hard to create, so those look like the only options.

It's basically done! There are a few things that I don't like and still have to fix though.

1. all the small toolbar icons need to be done.

2. sidebar-close icon is messed up

3. on the bookmarks toolbar, i want to make the text blue when highlighted over like in the Suite-version of Smoke. if you open the sidebar to the history portion, and hover over the "view" text for searching history, and click it -- that is how i want the bookmarks toolbar items to act!

You can grab the file from: http://www.cs.txstate.edu/~as1130/theme ... oke_fb.jar

****If anyone knows how to help me out on this please let me know!

Damn, this is an excelent theme!!!!
You should talk to Dabiel Glazman, this might be just the theme he is looking for, for Nvu. :)

(not that I know if he is looking for one, but this is the most professional looking composer skin I have seen)

Thanks

I really need to finish up the last few little things. Hopefully Lynchknot or someone will see this soon so I can get this figured out. But seriously, think I should talk to the Nvu guys? (You're referring to the Mozilla suite version for Nvu right?)

Wow... this is an awesome Firebird theme. I just switch from Px Classic Mod to Smoke and don't think I will switch to anyother soon. Thanks for the great work. :) Here is the screen shot I took.

*** One little problem I found is that everytime the throbber start to animate, it will blink (disappear and then reappear before start to animate). And some weird artifacts at the end of the address bar.

can you add support for the Trivial extension's new tab button? it should be easy since the graphic you need is included in the Mozilla theme along with the necessary CSS.

How do you add that metallic background?

I guess the brushed-metal is done by using the appropriate gtk2 or Windows XP theme. No relation with Firebird itself.
