As dacovale wrote, it works by default. And you can't find it in TBE.
Does the scroll click work in other applications?

Another question: What happens, when you "middle-click" in a side beside any link?

Yes, the software is running and the mouse and keyboard are wireless Logitech.

Start with basics:
Have you (or logitech software) mapped middle-click to something else?

Does middle-click cause autoscroll to kick in if you click in places other than links?
If you're not using Firefox, you're not surfing the web, you're suffering it.

Just type in "about:config" in the URL location field above. then type in "middle"|"wheel" in the "filter" field(another shortcut to find desired prefs) in this case to check out all the "middleclick"|"wheel" based preferences. You can modify, create or reset them without having to deal with opening/editting the user.js or other pref setting files.

thanks for your tips.

You can also view the cache files like this:
about:cache in the URL window, its pretty
informative too. Not all these lines of code
are in the prefs.js file, thats why any other
edits or added functions are written to the
user.js file created by the user.

No, it doesn't work in mozilla period.

Does the scroll click work in other applications?

No.

Maybe I should uninstall the logitech software?
