I still get XML parse errors on www.iwiw.hu when I log in with a clean profile. With my existing profile I only get errors when clicking on certain links. If I click on the Go button after getting an XML error, Firefox locks up. With Firefox 1.5.0.8 everything works correctly.

If anyone else has an account on iwiw.hu, please check if you also have these problems.

See this thread: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?t=493191
and bug 361180.

EDIT: I can also see this problem on Linux (on another computer):

Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.1pre) Gecko/20061201 BonEcho/2.0.0.1pre ID:2006120104

I have Java Runtime Environment 6.0 RC installed on my system. When I updated from 2.0.0 to 2.0.0.1pre, I got a message saying that Java 6.0 console is not compatible. Why is the Add-Ons manager identifying a plugin as incompatible?

The build number changed.

They most likely didn't put the right max version so that the extension would scale through the multiple build versions.

Use MrTech's local install to fix it.

I'm aware that the build number changed. I'm saying that the Java Runtime Environment Console is a plugin, not an extension. It doesn't how up in the add-ons manager, so why is the add-ons manager telling me that it's incompatible?

Can anybody replicate this issue?

Open up at least two browser windows.
In each window, open up a bunch of tabs
In one of the tabs, open up a website with a 'browse' button that browses for a file. Any one will do (rapidshare, megaupload, senduit).
Click the browse button, so it opens the file dialog. Leave the dialog open.
Switch to another browser window
Try clicking on another tab in that window to focus it. On mine, nothing happens. (If you want, try clicking a bunch of tabs)
(You can ctrl-tab between tabs, but the address bar doesn't change.)
Go back to the original window, and cancel the dialog box.
Hey, the tab you clicked on jumps into focus, switching the windows too. If you clicked on a bunch of tabs, they cycle through focus in the order they got clicked.

So, the file dialog box (open file, save as) should block clicks in the current tab, but you used to be able to click on a new tab with it open, now you can't. ONLY tabs are affected, I can click in the web pages of the other window, and the firefox menus and buttons still work, and I can type a new url and load a page. I simply cannot switch tabs with the mouse and the address bar doesn't update if a ctrl-tab to a new tab. Another focus issue, it seems. Tab bar is always occluded by system file dialog, even in other browser windows.

Really? I was sure I've done it before, but I've been running the 2.0 beta's for a long, long time. I was also sure it worked in 2.0 final.

Either way, it's a bug that should be filed and fixed, because there isn't any reason for it. No other browser behaves like this, and even within firefox, the behavior is inconsistent. Blocking only clicking on the tab bar, but elsewhere is okay? Very wrong.

I see this too, with 2.0.0.1pre and 1.5.0.8, so it doesn't look like a regression.
Slightly easier repo steps
1. New profile, start firefox
2. File > New Window
3. In one browser window, File > Save Page As (don't touch the dialog)
4. In the other browser window, try opening new tabs, navigating between tabs, etc.

Couldn't find anything filed on this, so filed

#220900 [Core:Editor]-Focus breaks, cut/copy/paste and other focus-dependent tasks broken [All]
I can still consistently reproduce this if I use either trayit or rbtray to minimize Fx to the system tray. I'm not sure if this is then an issue with those programs or with Windows or sill with Fx. I haven't noticed any issues with any other programs I use with those utilities to minimize to the tray.

@chob, for bug #362652, is it possible this is part of the some of the security fixes to make it so one tab can't steal stuff from another tab? I remember a bug where one tab could be injected with something you typed in a popup input box from another tab. Such as this one from Secunia:
http://secunia.com/multiple_browsers_di ... fing_test/

I don't know, it just seems relevant.

For what's it worth, this also affects trunk.
