Cannot log in wth firefox

When I try to log in via FIREFOX (2.0.0.1) to certain websites, the type that require a username & password, to get some personal information (eg. look at a phone bill) the websites starts to load the log in details but do not complete. The websites then show the username and password spaces as blank.
This happens despite FIREFOX being set to allow all cookies.

However, if I log in via Microsoft IE the websites always accept the log in details and show me the info.
